OVERVIEW

The Ketamine-Assisted Intensive Outpatient Program at APN Denver offers support for individuals struggling with treatment-resistant depression. Manage depression symptoms and make more progress toward your mental health goals with a 10-week intensive outpatient program (IOP) with three 3-hour therapy groups each week, individual sessions scheduled at your convenience, and three phases of programming that evolve with your needs.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Phase 1: Preparation

In the initial phase, you’ll focus on education, preparation, and individualized treatment planning, including:

  • Undergoing a medical history review, physical examination, and psychiatric evaluation to ensure a safe and appropriate treatment approach
  • Learning how ketamine works in the brain and body
  • Developing an understanding of its role in depression recovery
  • Creating a personalized treatment plan to support your healing journey
  • Attending 1 individual therapy session per week and 3 group therapy sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 AM to 12 PM

Phase 2: Ketamine Treatment & Therapy

Throughout phase two, you’ll continue to attend group and individual therapy sessions with concurrent ketamine treatments over six weeks.

Phase 3: Post-Integration & Discharge Preparation

The final two weeks will focus on consolidating progress and planning for life beyond the program. During this time, participants will:

  • Participate in continued group therapy sessions during regular hours
  • Engage in structured discussions around sustaining gains, relapse prevention, and ongoing mental wellness
  • Develop a personalized aftercare and support plan to maintain progress after discharge
